I am interested in how organisms cope with environmental change. My current postdoctoral research focuses on coral resilience. My dissertation work investigated coral environmental memory and epigenetics. I previously researched invasive lionfish.
I am passionate about education and utilizing active learning strategies in the classroom. I am also interested in curriculum development. As a faculty member at the College of the Marshall Islands, I developed a 30-credit Certificate in Marine Science.
I enjoy empowering local communities through marine science outreach, as well as communicating science through social media and other outlets. I also strive to incorporate local capacity development in my collaborative research projects.
